At Maternal Instincts, we believe homeschooling is deeply personal, shaped by your child, your family rhythm, your values, and your long-term vision. There is no universal blueprint.

There is only intentional design.

And that’s exactly why we created this space.

Why We Believe in Homeschooling

For me, homeschooling was never a question.

I was homeschooled myself, and I loved it. I experienced education as something flexible, relationship-centered, and curiosity-driven. Learning wasn’t confined to a classroom or a rigid schedule. It felt safe, personal and gave a confidence I still carry with me today.

From a young age, I knew that if I ever had children, I wanted that same freedom and depth for them.

My husband’s experience was very different.

He attended public school and often felt the system was built around a “cookie-cutter” structure, one pace, one method, one standard for everyone.

While he encountered a few truly inspiring teachers who left a lasting impact, they were the exception, not the rule.

Too often, creativity and individuality were secondary to compliance and standardization.

Together, our experiences shaped a shared conviction:

That each child is unique and requires their own intentional setting to truly be able to thrive at their full potential.

Maternal Instincts exists to provide structure without rigidity, guidance without pressure, and tools that support your family’s unique path.

We believe you don’t need to copy someone else’s homeschool.

You need to build your own.
